Documents issued in a foreign country which will be used in the Kurdistan Region, such as powers of attorney, university certificates, birth, death and marriages records, must be “authenticated” or “legalized” before they can be recognized as valid in the Kurdistan Region.

Limited power of attorney (LPoA) is a legal authorization that gives a designated person, termed the agent or attorney-in-fact, limited power to act for another person, known as the principal.

This service is required for the purpose of registering Private Companies and International NGOs at the relevant KRG departments in order to be able to legally operate in the region.

Broad power of attorney (BPoA) is a legal authorization that gives a designated person, termed the agent or attorney-in-fact, broad power to act for another person, known as the principal in all legal transactions in the Kurdistan Region.

This service is to return the human remains to Kurdistan following death internationally.

This service is for the Kurdistan Region citizens who are currently living outside the Kurdistan Region and have given general or limited power of attorney to someone and would like to revoke it.

This service is for citizens who intend to work abroad and need clearance documents. For this purpose, they submit applications to the representation, which forwards these requests to the Foreign Relations Office, which in turn forwards them to the relevant authorities.

It is the assertion and verification of the authenticity of the documents issued in an official and legal manner, for the purpose of their use by citizens and the private sector abroad.

Citizens who are unable to visit Kurdistan again due to health conditions, or due to lack of passports, in order to extend their work permit, submit their applications and documents through the representation.
