Broad power of attorney (BPoA) is a legal authorization that gives a designated person, termed the agent or attorney-in-fact, broad power to act for another person, known as the principal in all legal transactions in the Kurdistan Region.
Documents issued in a foreign country which will be used in the Kurdistan Region, such as powers of attorney, university certificates, birth, death and marriages records, must be “authenticated” or “legalized” before they can be recognized as valid in the Kurdistan Region.
