Issuance and renewal of residence cards to foreigners through consulates

The foreigner must have the support of the consulate or representative office of the country where the application is submitted, and It will be directed to the Relevant Residence Directorate through the Foreign Relations Office.

For foreigners from countries that require an advance visa to enter the Kurdistan Region, their residence card must be requested by the same consulate that issued the visa.

The validity period of the foreigner’s passport shall not be less than six (6) months.

If the transaction is to renew the residence card, the old residence is requested, He must apply for the renewal of his residence card before the expiration of the expiration date, otherwise he will be subject to a late penalty of (20,000) twenty thousand dinars per day.

Foreigners working in consulates will be issued residence cards to their families and children under the same conditions and procedures as those issued to foreigners.
