Conditions
The foreigner must have an employment contract in the province to which the case is transferred, If the foreigner is self-employed, he or she must have the documents of the work location.
For foreigners whose cases are transferred for the purpose of family reunification, they must have a marriage contract.
For foreigners whose cases are transferred through foreign labor companies, the same company that issued the residence card must have a branch in the province to which the foreigner's residence card is transferred.
Case transfers are only possible one (1) time per year.
When requesting the transfer of the foreigner's case to another province, he/she must bring a letter of non-objection from the (sponsor) who issued the residence card.
After the completion of the foreign residence card case, the foreigner must apply for a new residence card in the province to which the case has been transferred according to the type of residence card.
Work will be done on the statement No. (1) of 2021 on the issuance of electronic visas and residence cards, and the Foreigners Residence Law No. (76) of 2017 of the Iraqi Parliament.

three (3) to five (5) days.
Price
According to Directive No. (1) of 2021, the following guidelines for issuing electronic visas and residence permits in the Kurdistan Region:
- (80,000) Eighty thousand dinars for transferring the case.
- (10,000) Ten thousand dinars for the transfer form.
- (80,000) Eighty thousand dinars for transferring the case.
- (10,000) Ten thousand dinars for the transfer form.
Procedures
The foreign visits the residence department to which he/she wants to transfer his/her residence card file.
Visits the Case Transfer Room, in order to submit his application, audit his case and prepare accounting receipts.
Visits the accounting room, in order to pay the prescribed fees.
He/she visits the case transfer room, to scan the documents and they are emailed to the residence department where the foreigner's case is located in order to obtain no objection.
After (3) working days, the employee will visit the residence department that submitted the application, in order to receive a letter of refusal to transfer his residence card file.
After obtaining approval to transfer his residence card file according to the type of residence card, the foreigner visits the specialized department to obtain a new residence card from the residence department to which the residence card file was transferred.
