Conditions
One of the (spouse) must be an Iraqi citizen.
Have a marriage contract issued by an Iraqi court, or have a marriage contract issued outside Iraq, provided it is approved by the Iraqi Embassy in the country where the marriage contract was issued and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
One of the (spouse) must be a resident of the Kurdistan Region and have support for residence.
If the foreign party (spouse) is outside Iraq, he or she must first obtain a pre-entry visa.
The validity of the residence card is one (1) to three (3) years.
If the foreign is applying for a residence card for the first time, he/she should be tested for communicable diseases (HIV, hepatitis B and C viruses, malaria, bilharzia).
The Iraqi spouse must ensure the identity of the foreign spouse in the legal department of the Immigration Administration Office.
Fill out form number (17) and approve it in the legal department.
Work will be done on the statement No. (1) of 2021 on the issuance of electronic visas and residence cards, and the Foreigners Residence Law No. (76) of 2017 of the Iraqi House of Representatives.
Documents
For Iraqi (spouse): (National Identity Card, Information Card and Residence Support).
For foreign party (husband or wife): (Passport valid for not less than six (6) months, and two (2) personal photographs.

Price
According to Directive No. (1) of 2021, the following guidelines for issuing electronic visas and residence cards in the Kurdistan Region:
For the Iraqi side
(25,000) Twenty-five thousand dinars per year if one spouse is an Iraqi.
(10,000) Ten thousand dinars administrative fee.
For the Iraqi side
(25,000) Twenty-five thousand dinars per year if one spouse is an Iraqi.
(10,000) Ten thousand dinars administrative fee.
Procedures
The spouse visits the specialized residence department according to geographical boundaries.
spouse visits the Legal Chamber, in order to submit his application and fill out the form by the specialized employee, at the same place the administrative fees will be charged.
Visits the Family Reconciliation Chamber (an Iraqi spouse), in order to verify the application, prepare the file and the name of the service provider is sent to the central laboratory electronically in order to conduct health tests for the foreign spouse.
After the health test and the results are returned electronically to the Residence Directorate, the spouse and the foreigner (spouses) visit the family reunification room (an Iraqi spouse) in order to prepare a receipt for the fees.
Visits the accounting room, in order to pay fees.
He visits the Family Reconciliation Room (an Iraqi party) to return the receipts, scan his file and send it to the printing room.
He visits the printing room to receive his residence card and complete his transaction.
